Location: Munich, Germany
Employment: Full-time, three-year research contract

Responsibilities

  • Study ignition, flashback, combustion noise and thermoacoustic stability in hydrogen combustors.
  • Use advanced experiments, numerical simulations and modeling approaches within an international research network.
  • Contribute to research that supports quieter and more stable hydrogen combustion technologies.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in aerospace, mechanical or chemical engineering, applied or numerical mathematics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge in at least one area such as combustion, fluid mechanics, acoustics, control engineering, dynamic systems or scientific computing.
  • Experience with numerical simulation or scientific computing; OpenFOAM, Python or Matlab are relevant.
  • Very good written and spoken English.
  • Must meet the European mobility rule for residence in Germany.
